BRENDEN TUCCINARDI
Brenden Tuccinardi is currently a Web Producer at KPBS, San Diego’s NPR and PBS member station. As a web producer, Brenden works closely with reporters and editors to optimize KPBS content for online audiences as well as cover breaking news. Prior to joining KPBS, Brenden spent a year in Madrid, Spain teaching English to elementary school children.
Brenden is an enthusiastic storyteller and has written on a variety of topics. Most recently, Brenden covered breaking news in the U.S. and Canadian legal cannabis industries for The Dales Report. Prior to that, he covered higher education while serving as the Editor in Chief of The Daily Aztec, San Diego State University’s independent student newspaper. Also, while working at The Daily Aztec, Brenden contributed to the Arts & Culture section in addition to producing social media content for the paper. Most notably, the paper’s TikTok.
Brenden is an award-winning journalist having been honored with several first-place awards from both the San Diego Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and the San Diego Press Club.
Brenden graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's in Advertising from the School of Journalism and Media Studies.
Outside his professional life, Brenden enjoys listening to live music, collecting vinyl records and film photography.
Brenden was born and raised in Temecula, California
